If you are having GI symptoms that affect your quality of life, try mBIOTA rather than recurrent antibiotics. The only hurdle to overcome is the perception that the taste won't be tolerable. Just not true. The taste makes it very easy to take throughout the day and you will likely see excellent results.

- Steven, MD

Can you share a bit about your journey with your GI condition before discovering mBIOTA Elemental?

"I had a gastric sleeve performed 6 years ago. This past year, I had 3 hospitalizations for incomplete small bowel obstruction with enteritis and it was eventually discussed that I likely had SIBO. I did not have a confirmed breath test but the symptoms were highly suggestive. After several trials of antibiotics and dietary modification, I found mBIOTA through a web search and decided to give it a try. Following my third hospitalization, I embarked on the 14 day course of mBIOTA. I actually only completed 11 days but my symptoms dramatically improved and I have been symptom free since that time."

How did mBIOTA Elemental impact your symptoms and overall quality of life?

"I had little success with antibiotic treatments and following the mBIOTA course, my symptoms have resolved and not recurred."

What were your initial thoughts or hesitations about starting an elemental diet, and how were they addressed?

"As a physician, I had previous experience with prescribing elemental diets which were very difficult to achieve patient compliance with. This was my primary concern. Many of the reviews for mBIOTA indicated it was quite palatable and so I decided to give it a try. I had read the upcoming abstract for the investigation and felt assured that it might prove helpful."

Can you describe your daily routine while using mBIOTA Elemental, and any tips you have for new users?

"Since my sleeve surgery, I have become accustomed to small volume meals more frequently throughout the day. I found it most useful to dissolve in lukewarm water by shaking, not blending and then to add ice for taste. With the ice, I was able to sip throughout the day with minimal hunger episodes."

Anything else we didn’t ask that you’d like to include?

"I wish retrospectively that I had confirmed my diagnosis of SIBO for clinical interest but I am certain based on my symptoms and course of illness that this was the most likely diagnosis and the empiric use of this product was very helpful. I am more convinced now that empirically treating people at high risk for SIBO with symptoms suggestive of this should consider a trial as a first line treatment."
