mBIOTA Elemental has previously been shown to reduce visceral fat. New findings connect this fat loss to hormonal shifts and changes to the microbiome.

Participants consumed a two-week exclusive course of mBIOTA Elemental, followed by a return to a regular diet. Results showed a 9.6% visceral fat loss during the diet, and 11.2% total loss post-diet. Visceral fat—fat stored deep within the abdominal cavity around internal organs—is associated with insulin resistance, inflammation, and cardiometabolic risk. Microbiome analysis revealed distinct shifts correlating with body fat changes and hormone levels.

Leptin, a hormone tied to hunger, dropped significantly during the diet (p < 0.0001), while GLP-1 (associated with satiety and insulin sensitivity) rose after food reintroduction (p = 0.03). Higher GLP-1 levels correlated strongly with fat loss (R = 0.545, p = 0.002). Microbiome analysis demonstrated distinct compositional shifts that correlated with reductions in body fat and measurable changes in hormone levels, suggesting a relationship between dietary modulation of the gut microbiota and metabolic outcomes.

These findings confirm that mBIOTA Elemental can do more than soothe digestion; it may also drive meaningful and sustainable metabolic change.
