With the 1-Week Plan, you will receive seven cartons (one for each day), each containing six individual sachets of mBIOTA Elemental diet powder.

Each sachet mixes easily with 10 oz of water for a 300 kcal serving. A typical day consists of six shakes for 1,800 calories; however, consult with your healthcare provider for your personalized recommended daily intake.

In 2023, researchers at Cedars-Sinai’s Motility Clinic completed a successful clinical trial of the mBIOTA Elemental diet for patients with Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and/or Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth (IMO).

Q: Can I mix mBIOTA Elemental powder with anything other than water?
A: No. It is not recommended to introduce other liquids, as they can interfere with the effectiveness of an elemental diet. You may use crushed ice to adjust texture.

Q: Do you offer samples of the flavors? 

A: Samples of mBIOTA Elemental are available in two ways: Complimentary samples of mBIOTA Elemental are available through health care providers (HCPs). If your HCP does not currently have samples available in their practice, you can provide us with their information and we will send samples to them and a tasting sample kit to you. (U.S. customers only) 

Alternatively, you can simply order a free tasting sample kit directly from us to try both flavors; in this case, the samples are complimentary and you simply cover the cost of shipping. Tasting sample kits available to both U.S. and International customers.
