Maintaining Your Results
Completing an elemental diet is a major step. What follows is just as important—reintroduce food gradually over 2 weeks using Low Fermentation Eating.

Days 1–2: Start Simple
Begin with easily digestible foods like eggs, chicken, white rice, and potatoes. Keep portions small and expect mild shifts in digestion.

Days 3-4: Add Gentle Variety
Introduce nondairy or lactose-free milk, hard-aged cheeses, well-cooked vegetables, sushi, avocado, and certain fruits like citrus or berries.

Days 5-6: Expand Your Plate
Enjoy all LFE-approved fruits, but continue to hold off on raw vegetables. You can also reintroduce hot spices and moderate alcohol, if tolerated.

Days 7+: Slow & Steady
Slowly introduce raw greens and red meat. Bring back personal trigger foods one at a time, watching for reactions. Wait a week before retrying anything that causes symptoms.
