The 2-Week Protocol was used successfully in a clinical trial at Cedars-Sinai for SIBO and IMO patients. Designed to effectively manage chronic GI conditions, this plan is traditionally used as sole-source nutrition.

With our 2 Week Plan, you will receive fourteen cartons (one for each day) each filled with six individual sachets of mBIOTA Elemental diet powder. Each sachet mixes easily with 10 oz water for a 300kcal serving. The typical day consists of six shakes for 1800 calories, however consult with your health care provider for your personalized recommended daily intake. mBIOTA Elemental™ is a medical food and should be taken under medical supervision.

Q: During the two weeks can I eat or drink anything besides the elemental diet shakes? 

A: Always consult with your healthcare provider before beginning any elemental diet, as your nutritional needs may vary. During a typical elemental protocol, no additional foods or liquids (aside from water) are consumed in order to allow your system to rest and reset. One cup of plain black coffee or plain tea per day is generally permitted, but confirm with your healthcare provider to ensure it is appropriate for your individual plan.

mBIOTA Elemental is designed to deliver all necessary vitamins, minerals, and nutrients and serve as your sole source of nutrition during the protocol.

Q: Do you offer samples of the flavors? 

A: Samples of mBIOTA Elemental are available in two ways: Complimentary samples of mBIOTA Elemental are available through health care providers (HCPs). If your HCP does not currently have samples available in their practice, you can provide us with their information and we will send samples to them and a tasting sample kit to you. (U.S. customers only) 

Alternatively, you can simply order a free tasting sample kit directly from us to try both flavors; in this case, the samples are complimentary and you simply cover the cost of shipping. Tasting sample kits available to both U.S. and International customers.

Q: Do I need a prescription for mBIOTA Elemental diet?

A: No. mBIOTA Elemental is a medical food and does not require a prescription, but it should be taken under medical supervision.
